Call the Animal Care Officer to make a Lost Pet Report at
972-317-6551, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
If you receive a voice message during office hours, the Animal Care Officer maybe on an outside call, so please leave a detailed voice mail that the Officer can follow up with on their return to the office.
Things to Know…
1. City registration per pet is $5.00 a year. All pets must have a rabies certificate.
2. If a pet is apprehended running loose, a $30.00 impound fee will be charged for the first offense.
3. Impounded pets not claimed are eligible for adoption after three days.
4. All impounded pets will be treated with Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Advantage (Flea control) - cost $15.00.
5. If there is no current record of rabies vaccination, a signed agreement is required stating that the vaccinationwill be obtained within 5 working days.
6. Pets held for rabies quarantine are held a minimum of ten days at cost of $17.50 per day at owner’s expense.

ANIMAL CARE FACILITY
The City of Highland Village contracts with the Animal Medical Center a portion of their facility for animal control boarding.
A room with 10 dog runs
A cat room with 13 cages
A prep room for feeding
A small office.
Associated cleaning and feeding of the dogs and cats.
